How a school moves onto EDUTIG
Getting new software working in a school is mostly about decisions and data, not installation. This is what the work involves on both sides, so you can plan for it.
We do not publish a standard number of weeks. How long it takes depends on how much data moves and how many areas you start with, and we would rather give you a realistic timeline for your school than a figure that fits a brochure.
Before anything is set up
- What we do
- We go through how your school runs today and agree which areas you will start with.
- What your team does
- Decide who owns this internally. One person who can make decisions about class names, fee structures and who approves what will save weeks.
Setting up the school
- What we do
- We configure your session, classes, sections, subjects and roles with you.
- What your team does
- Confirm the academic structure and decide which staff get which role. These choices are the foundation of everything else.
Bringing your records across
- What we do
- We import your student and staff lists and show you the result to check.
- What your team does
- Tidy the existing data first. Duplicate students, missing guardian details and inconsistent class names need deciding by someone who knows the school.
Running it alongside what you do today
- What we do
- We train your team on the areas you are starting with.
- What your team does
- Use EDUTIG for real work for a few weeks while your old process still exists. Problems surface in ordinary use, not in a demonstration.
Switching over
- What we do
- We stay close during the first month-end, the first fee cycle and the first payroll run.
- What your team does
- Check the first fee report and the first payroll against your own figures before relying on them.
Worth knowing before you start
- Moving a whole class up at the end of the year is not automated yet, so plan the year-end change with us rather than assuming it happens by itself.
- SMS, email and WhatsApp messages need a provider account in your school's name, and the provider charges for the messages.
- Attendance is marked by staff in EDUTIG. If you use biometric devices today, they will not feed into it.
- Ask about data export before you commit, so you know what you would take with you.
