Questions schools ask us
Straight answers, including the ones where the answer is no. If yours is not here, ask us.
What does EDUTIG actually cover?
Admissions and student records, the academic structure and timetable, attendance and leave, homework, exams, report cards and the exam week, fees and receipts, expenses and financial reports, staff records, leave and payroll, library, inventory and transport, announcements and notifications, and separate portals for teachers, staff, students and parents.
How much does EDUTIG cost?
Starter is free to use. Essential is USD 11.99 a month, Growth USD 23.99 and Enterprise USD 39.99, and the paid packages start with three days free. Every package includes the whole product; they differ by school size and the support that comes with them. Prices are per school, per month.
Can parents and students see their own information?
Yes. Parents and students have their own portals for attendance, homework, results, fee information, transport and announcements. A parent with more than one child switches between them without signing out. Teachers and other staff have separate portals for their own work.
Does EDUTIG work on a phone?
EDUTIG is a web application, so you open it in a browser on a computer, tablet or phone. There is no Android or iOS app to download.
Can we send fee reminders by SMS or WhatsApp?
Yes, once a messaging provider is set up for your school. EDUTIG sends the messages and keeps a delivery log; the provider charges for the messages themselves.
Can we control who sees what?
Yes. There are 185 individual permissions across every area. Use the built-in roles or design your own, such as accountant, librarian or front desk, and give one person more than one role. Each school's data is scoped to that school on every request.
Who builds and supports EDUTIG?
EDUTIG is developed by RNDSOL, a software development company based in Lahore. You deal with the same team that builds the product.
How long does setup take?
It depends on how much existing data comes across and how many areas you start with. A school starting with admissions, attendance and fees is usually working in EDUTIG sooner than one moving exams, payroll and library at the same time. We will give you a realistic timeline for your situation rather than a standard figure.
Can we bring our existing student records across?
Yes. Student lists can be imported rather than typed in again. The work is usually in tidying the existing data first: duplicate records, missing guardian details and inconsistent class names all need deciding before the import, and we will tell you what we find.
Can we take fee payments online?
Ask us about this for your school. Online payment depends on your own merchant account with a payment provider and on that integration being set up and tested for you, so we would rather discuss it directly than promise it on a web page.
Does EDUTIG replace our accounting software?
No. EDUTIG handles fees, receipts, concessions and expenses, and reports on them. It is not a double-entry accounting system, so there is no general ledger, trial balance or bank reconciliation. Schools normally keep their accountant's software for statutory accounts.
What happens to our data if we stop using EDUTIG?
It remains your school's data. Talk to us about export before you commit, so you know exactly what you would get and in what format, rather than finding out at the end.
Who has access to our school's information?
The people you give logins to, limited by the role you assign them. RNDSOL staff access a school's account only when operating or supporting the service. If you have a specific requirement here, raise it with us and we will answer it directly.
Can teachers only see their own classes?
Yes. A teacher's subject and class-teacher assignments decide what their portal shows: their own timetable, the register for their sections, the homework they set, and marks entry for the papers they actually teach. They do not see the accounts office.
Can we control who in the office sees what?
There are 185 individual permissions. Use the built-in roles or build your own, such as accountant, librarian or front desk, and give one person more than one role. Someone can collect fees without being able to reverse a payment, or run payroll without opening admissions.
Can we run more than one campus?
Yes. More than one campus sits under a single school account, with campus recorded on sections, students, staff shifts, holidays and expenses. Ask us how access is separated across campuses before you decide, so it matches how your group actually works.
Does it handle exams properly, or just marks?
Both. One exam covers every class with its own papers and marks limits, results publish class by class and lock once published, and the exam week itself is covered: a datesheet generated from your timetable, invigilators without double-booking, automatic seating and printable admit cards.
Can parents pay fees from their phone?
A parent can upload a bank transfer receipt from their portal for the office to approve, and see every invoice and receipt for each of their children. Card and wallet payments are not supported. If online payment matters to you, raise it early and we will tell you exactly where it stands.
What happens at the end of the academic year?
Moving a whole class up is not automated in EDUTIG; we handle promotion with you at year end. Everything else you set up yourself: a new session, its terms, new fee plans and a new timetable. The previous year's records stay in place.
Is there a mobile app?
No. EDUTIG is a web application, so you open it in a browser on a computer, tablet or phone. There is no Android or iOS app to download, and no mobile push notifications. Parents are reached by email, SMS, WhatsApp or the portal inbox instead.
